Guided walks with hawks
The traditional application of falconry has been to take a Bird of Prey, train it and then attempt to catch wild quarry with it. Although our guided walks with hawks experience, is not a hunting expedition, it is a leisurely stroll through the majestic settings of Killarney with falconer and hawk/or team of hawks and shows the ability of trained birds and their relationship with their human partners.the participants will have hands on experience with the hawks,you will be able to handle and fly the hawk yourselves under instruction from killarney falconry's falconers.
An once-in-a-lifetime experience to interact first-hand with one of nature's top predators and viewing their aerial acrobatics and maneuverability in free flight against the backdrop of the MacGillycuddy Reeks which includes the highest mountain in Ireland namely Corran Tuathail (Carrauntoohil) situated in beauties home and heavens reflect Killarney. The birds are trained using traditional falconry techniques by our professional falconers who will draw on their vast knowledge and experience to assist with your up close and personal handling of the birds of prey.
